Passengers who's travel dates include any portion of the
peak season must purchase a peak pass. Fare

General
- Residents
of Canada are eligible to purchase and use a Canrail Pass
- Passes
are valid for comfort class (economy) travel. A supplement
is payable for VIA 1 class and sleeper accommodation.
- A
ticket/reservation must be obtained for each journey. It
is recommended to book early as Comfort Class seats for passholders
are limited.
- First
date of use and first leg of journey must be advised at time
of booking.
- During
the peak summer season, an upgrade to Silver & Blue class
(between Vancouver and Toronto) and to Totem and Totem Deluxe
classes (between Prince
Rupert and Jasper) can only be arranged in the 21 days prior to departure.
- Age,
school ID card or age and ISIC card are required for student
fares and must be produced locally on request.

are subject to change weekly due to the exchange rate

All Canadian
bookings need to be paid within 14 days of loading the booking
or the booking will auto cancel.

a Canrailpass has been used it is totally non-refundable.

Canrailpasses
are not transferable and cannot be refunded if lost or stolen

GST
is non refundable

A
25% cancellation fee applies to totally unused passes returned
with 1 year of issuing date.

What is a Canrail Pass?
The Canrail Pass gives you unlimited travel on VIA Rail trains
throughout Canada. It's the perfect choice for people who want
to go a long way on a limited budget.
What are the child/students/senior ages?
Children: 2-11 years inclusive
Students: 12-17 years inclusive,
18+ yrs with ISIC card
Seniors: 60+ years of age
Can I reserve seats in conjunction with my Pass?

There is a 21 day restriction only on the Canadian in Peak season
in Silver and Blue class. So, sleepers on the Canadian can only
be booked within 21 days in Peak Season. There are no restrictions
in Low season or for Comfort class all year round.
How much luggage can I carry on board?
Most long distance trains
have a baggage carriage where you can store up to 6 pieces of luggages.
Trains in southern Quebec and
southern Ontario normally have no baggage car, therefore a limit
of 2 pieces of luggage per person is imposed. Large or heavy (23kgs+)
items must be checked in and charges apply.
Is smoking permitted on VIA Rail services?
All VIA Rail services
are non-smoking. On longer journeys passengers have the opportunity
to alight at various stations where smoking
is permitted.
